Spring is Here!

Spring has sprung and not just on my head! Yes, we are practicing social distancing. That does not mean we cannot get out and enjoy the outside.

Take a walk, a run, ride a bike, plant some flowers, sit on the porch if it rains, have a conversation outside. We will get through this. Clean with the windows and doors open. Our plan for the weekend is to spring clean. We started on the office and the closets, today and tomorrow- the basement and garage. We all may have the cleanest homes when this pandemic is over.

Hey, here's another one- sit outside, pick your desired beverage and tune into WQMX all weekend long. We have your favorite country tunes and we will keep you updated with the latest on the coronavirus information. Be safe!

The Billboard Music Awards- postponed...
Garth Brooks is seeing kindness...

The Billboard Music Awards is the latest awards show to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The show was set for April 29th in Las Vegas and to air on NBC with Kelly Clarkson as the host. They will announce a new date and venue for the show in the near future.
Garth Brooks is set to get a special award at the Billboard Music Awards.

Like us, Garth Brooks had to do some shopping in preparation for social distancing. While out, he noticed kindness is still out in abundance.
He said, "It’s been a great, great past few days when it comes to character…when it comes to just whatever that spirit is that’s inside all of us that just makes us kind of come together."
Could you imagine running into Garth at the grocery store?!

THANK YOU TO ACME ASSOCIATES!

A HUGE THANK YOU has to go out the Acme associates that have stepped up over the past week or so and will continue to do so. They are showing up, stocking shelves, keeping the stores clean and safe. They are doing their jobs and doing it well.

This is a historical time that we may never see again. We are all in this together and going to get food at Acme has always been a comfort for me. To go there and see them helping customers load their cars, load their carts, help find products, help keep the calm, fill prescriptions, they are keeping it as normal as possible. There are people who normally stock shelves working the check out and vise versa. They are still fast and friendly. They are stepping up and that is so appreciated.

Acme has been serving our community for over 125 and they will continue to do so, as we navigate our way through this crisis with understanding and patience. You can share your stories of any and all associates going above and beyond on Acme's Instagram or Facebook page and maybe you will hear your story on the radio! Use the hashtag #LoveMyAcme

He's urging other bar and restaurant owners, that can- to do the same.
