Bath Memorial Day Observance -May 30 at noon at Bath Veterans’ Memorial Park.

Canton Memorial Day Parade -  May 30 at 10 a.m. from the McKinley Downtown Campus and ends at the McKinley Monument.

Hudson Memorial Day Ceremony - May 30 at 11am at The American Legion Post 464 will hold a ceremony at Markillie Ceremony after the parade.

Navarre Memorial Day observation - May 30 parade begins at 1 from Canal Street in front of the village hall.

EVENTS

USAF Band of Flight - The United States Air Force presents a live concert at Lock 3 in Akron on May 28.

The city of Akron's Park Week is May 9th - 15th!

There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer with projects.  Please take care of our parks and recreation areas.  Clean-up what you can and enjoy the parks that our great neighborhoods and city have to offer!  

Let me start by saying,  I am not a huge Idol Fan... or reality singing shows in general.  But they do serve a purpose!

For some of these artists, these shows are the only way to catapult them into the spotlight.  

Either way, if this is the result, LET'S GO!!!   Last night, Idol 20 year reunion.  I was excited to see Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina in some capacity.

I caught Scotty... a few bars in while flipping thru and then Lauren joined him.  What a great performance!  I'm all here for hearing more of these two together...

 Well Thursday Morning... Scott & Sarah with Lang were talking about how 9% of folks who attend outdoor festivals go enjoy one another's intimate company in the porta-potty.  They mentioned a shirt.   It took me most of the day to create it, but would you wear it?  

Thursday on the air, I asked WQMX Listeners to speculate and guess the name of Garth's New Bar coming to Lower Broadway.

There was an overwhelming winner...  Low Places or Friends in Low Places.  

Some of the other entries provided were:  Dive Bar, AHTBA (American Honky Tonk Bar Association), ThunderRolls, Rodeo Bar, Sevens, B double E double R U-N, and Garth's Bar - B- Q and Trisha's Country Kitchen!   All were great and probably could all work for Garth's New Bar Name.  

The one that was entered that I don't see Garth using was...  BAR-TH!  (It reminds me of John Candy in Space Balls.  BAR-F... he is a mog, half man half dog... he is his own best friend.)

I could actually see Garth calling it "G's".  It is simple.  I could see Bar Rescue's John Taffer coming up with something simple like that name too.  

It also runs with Garth's "Studio G" which you might as well put that in the 40,000 sq. ft. bar also.

No matter what Garth comes up with, I think, we will all be Friends in That Place.  He should be releasing more details of the venture in the coming weeks/months.  We'll keep speculating till then.

Wrestlemania 38 is this weekend in Dallas...  (Picks Are in...)

Friday the Undertaker, The Steiner Bros., Queen Sharmell, Vader and will get into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Brantley Gilbert will sing "America The Beautiful" the 1st night.  Jessie James Decker will sing it the 2nd night.
