All-City Musical

Also this weekend, my daughter and I decided to go to the theater and saw the All-City Musical production of "The Little Mermaid" at the Akron Civic Theater. What a great production, we were so super impressed by the talent amongst the actors, the crew, and the orchestra! At one point, the actress who played Ariel hit this note during "Part Of Your World" that gave me goosebumps and I looked at my daughter and she had a tear in her eye, she was so good! I read in the program that "The Little Mermaid" was her first production and I couldn't believe it.

Everyone did an amazing job with their roles, incredible acting and singing. You all have a bright future in theater ahead of you!

Congratulations Lainey!

Lainey Wilson performed her new song, "Hang Tight Honey" on the finale of The Voice last night, and after that performance Reba McEntire had a surprise for the ACM Entertainer of the Year.

The Voice host Carson Daly invited Lainey to the front of the stage for a quick chat, but Reba quickly hijacked the conversation by opening a small black box, that held Lainey's official invitation to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Fortunately her family was in the audience to witness the magical milestone and there were, of course, tears.

Lainey made her Opry debut on Valentine's Day of 2020. Her induction will take place June 7th during CMA Fest.

Congratulations Lainey! We can't wait to see you at The Country Fest!
