Miranda Lambert will get her star on Nashville's Music City Walk of Fame on October 6th.
Miranda says, “I am proud to join a heritage of other female inductees, such as Loretta Lynn,
Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride. This is a
milestone moment that I will cherish forever."
Thompson Square shared the gender of their baby via a ridiculously cute reveal video posted to Facebook.
Shawna held a big bundle of pink and blue balloons and released them all to reveal the final balloon, a large
blue one, reading it’s a boy! Keifer and Shawnawill welcome their son — their first child together — in
January 2016.
Girls just wanna have fun in country because Cyndi Lauperis now setting her sights on Nashville.
Speaking to reporters recently, Cyndi said she's long been interested in recording a country album. She explained,
"I want to record all those songs I used to sing my guts out in my apartment to!”
She expects the album to be out in 2016.
Nashville News: Wednesday, 9/16
Kenny Chesneyhas barely had time to catch his breath since wrapping his Big Revival 2015 tour a few weeks ago,
but he's already booked the acts for his stadium run next year.
No dates or stadiums have been announced, but Miranda Lambert will be his anchor act for those shows.
Kenny says, “Miranda is the real deal. She’s puts it all out there when she’s on stage, and I loved touring with
her so much in 2009, I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to get her back out here -- because I love every single thing about who she is as an artist and a person.”
Also along for the haul will be Sam Hunt and Old Dominion.
Canaan Smith recently announced he will embark on his first headlining tour this fall. The ‘Stomping Grounds Tour’
will hit 11 cities- starting in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 6th and he will be at the Dusty Armadillo on
December 5th!
Nashville News: Tuesday, 9/15
Luke Bryan has worked hard at becoming a good singer. But he knows that putting on a great show is
more than hitting all the notes.
He tells Rolling Stone, "When singing is second nature, and I'm interacting with the crowd and not even
thinking about hitting a note, that is when it's perfect. I just love those moments."
Luke's abilities seem to be working for him, he earned a nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer
of the Year at this year's CMA Awards.
Thomas Rhett scores his fourth number-one on the Mediabase chart this week with “Crash and Burn.” His fellow CMA New Artist of the Year nominee
Chris Stapleton co-wrote the track.
Thomas’s previous number-ones include “Make Me Wanna,” “Get Me Some of That” and “It Goes Like This.”
Nashville News: Monday, 9/14
Taylor Swift may be stepping off the stage (briefly) and into your television screen soon to help fight crime
alongside Olivia Benson.
Recently Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson, sat down for an interview with
Entertainment Tonight, and revealed that a cameo may be in the future for Taylor.
She says “We just talked about it. We’re going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes.
But it’s in the air.”
Taylor will continue her tour through the States through October, when she will hop across the pond and
continue the show internationally.
Garth Brooks says he was heartbroken over the news that the re-make of "Friends in Low Places," which features George Strait, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban,
was put on hold due to publishing issues. But he's confident that there will be a resolution.
The song was to be part of the 25th anniversary edition of his No Fences album.
