Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt are this year's CMT Artists
of the Year. They'll be honored on December 2nd in Nashville with tributes by fellow country artists and
celebrities. The show will air live on CMT.
CMT's Artists of the Yearare chosen on the basis of popularity on CMT's platforms, as well radio hits, chart-topping albums and sell-out concerts.
Zac Brown Band has joined the lineup for Sinatra 100 -- An All-Star Grammy Concert.
Also on the bill are Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Harry Connick Junior, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys,
John Legend, Adam Levine and Usher.
The show will be taped in Las Vegas and air on CBS on December 6th -- which would have been Frank Sinatra's
100th birthday.
Kelsea Ballerini will be honored at Billboard’s Women in Music event as this year's Rising Star.
The award goes to an artist who's had success on Billboard's charts and whose talent shows a clear path to
stardom. Last year, Ariana Grande took the honor.
Women in Music takes place on December 11th in New York City. Kelsea will perform at the event, which will be
taped for broadcast on Lifetime on December 18th.

Miranda Lambert is among Forbes’s highest-paid women in music.
Miranda came in at number-eight on the list with $28.5 million. Katy Perry was number-one with $135 million. Taylor Swiftcame in second with $80 million.
Rascal Flatts will head back to Las Vegas for another residency. They'll return to the Hard Rock Hotel's
The Joint for shows in February and March.
Last year, the guys assembled a whole new band to bring with them to The Strip. If the last go-around was an indication, the show will concentrate more on the music and less on a theatrical production.
So far, no hard dates have been announced.
Carrie Underwood wants more women killing it in country music.
In her new Cosmopolitan cover story, she says, “I try to stand up for women in my genre… When I go to vote for
the Country Music Awards, I have to write in names -- I can think of, like, three who are really active. Women have to work harder to get half the recognition.
I am one of the lucky ones. But there are some extremely talented, gorgeous, smart, strong women in this town.”

The CMA Country Christmas taping at the Grand Ole Opry house took place over the weekend.
Jennifer Nettles hosted the event. Kelsea Ballerini, Charles Kelley, Martina McBride, Mickey Guyton,
Jewel and Dan and Shay also performed.
The special airs December 3rd on ABC.
Old Dominion have scored their first number-one as a band this week on the Mediabase chart with
“Break Up With Him.”
But that's far from their first success. Members Matt Ramsey,Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi are behind some of
2015’s biggest hits. Matt and Brad co-wrote Kenny Chesney’s “Save It for a Rainy Day,” and Matt co-wrote Dierks Bentley’s “Say You Do” with Trevor. Brad also co-wrote Tyler Farr’s “A Guy Walks Into a Bar.”
Chris Stapleton’s albumTraveller has hit number-one on Billboard’s all-genre 200 chart after owning last week’s
CMA Awards.
It’s the first debut country album to hit number-one on the all-genre chart in more than four years. The last was Scotty McCreery’s Clear as Day in October 2011.

The CMAs' newly-crowned New Artist, Male Vocalist and Album of the Year winner Chris Stapleton has an
enviable problem -- where to put the three trophies he didn't think he'd win, but it is a good problem to have.
If they gave a trophy for the most-talked about performance, he would have won that, too. Chris says nerves weren't an issue during his highly
anticipated collaboration withJustin Timberlake.

Dolly Partonfor having the most albums debut at No. 1 on Billboard‘s chart.
