Kacey deemed not country, sorta...
Elvie Shane talks success...

The Grammy screening committee got together and decided that Kacey Musgraves new album, Star-Crossed is not eligible for the 2022 Country Album of the Year Grammy Award. It was declared not fit because the album did not fit the criteria for the category. It does fit the criteria for the Pop Album of the Year and all-genre Album of the Year category that Kacey won for her last album Golden Hour.

Naturally, Kacey and her record label are not too happy. They wrote a letter stating as much that you can read if you like on any and all social media platforms.

Elvie Shane is having a hard time wrapping his head around the success of his debut single, "My Boy."
"I guess I suffer from a little bit of imposter syndrome. I'm still the same old hillbilly I always have been. It's awesome to see people connecting with the song and I'm just very appreciative."
Elvie's debut album, Backslider, comes out on October 29th.
