Joanna Cotten, the powerful singer who's shared the stage with Eric Church for many of his concert tours, has left the band to go solo. 

Of Eric, she said, “What a run we had. I am so grateful for the stages I sang on with him and the people I met along the way. I am very much looking forward to new solo music and ventures on the horizon.”

Shania Twain is among the writers who will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. 
The induction ceremony takes place in Nashville on October 30th.
