Darius Rucker has expanded into another career. He's partnering with a sports agency that represents golfers and football players.
He'll be scouting potential golf clients on the links, but he'll only be able to talk to future football clients about marketing in an office,
since he's not a licensed football agent.
Though the new business will take up a lot of his time, Darius still plans on touring. But he'll cut back from about 100 dates a
year to about 30.
George Strait has been tapped to pay tribute to MusicCares Person of the Year Tom Petty during February's Grammy celebrations.
He'll join Foo Fighters, Don Henley, Norah Jones, Kings of Leon, Randy Newman, Stevie Nicks, and more.
The ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on February 10th. The 59th annual Grammy Awards will air live on CBS on February 12th.

After a long quiet spell, Lady Antebellum are finally in the studio working on their next album.
For proof,Charles Kelley posted a Facebook picture of Hillary Scott laying down vocals. It's their first album since 2014's 747.

The performers for the 2016 CMA Country Christmas have been announced.
Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Eldredge, Chris Young, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts, Amy Grant
and Jennifer Nettles are all set to take the stage for the two-hour special. Jennifer will also assume the position of host for the evening — a role she has filled six times.
CMA Country Christmas airs Nov. 28 on ABC.

Carrie Underwood is throwing support behind her friend Miranda Lambertas she releases her new album,
The Weight of These Wings, this month.
Carrie says, "Miranda's just so good at everything she does. She's such a great songwriter, and I'm very interested to hear
her album because she seems to inject so much of her life into her albums."
The Weight of These Wings comes out on November 18th.
The finalists have been announced for 2016 Billboard Touring Awards, and this year’s genre-spanning list honors two of
country’s heavyweights: Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan.
Both have been named finalists for the Top Package award. This honor recognizes tours with three or more acts on the bill and includes Kenny’s
Spread the Love Tour featuring Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion and Luke’s Kill the LightsTour featuring Little
Big Town and Dustin Lynch.
Brad Paisley‘s Country Nation College Tour and Florida Georgia Line‘s 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour are also nominated for the
Concert Marketing & Promotion Award. The 2016 Billboard Touring Awards will be held tomorrow night in Beverly Hills.

One week after reaching number-one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Luke Bryan's "Move" has ascended to the top of Mediabase's Country Airplay chart.
Luke became the first artist to bank five number-ones from two albums apiece on Billboard's Country Airplaychart when "Move" reached number-one last week.
Miranda Lambert is taking down the social media haters who left nasty comments about an Instagram photo of her and her boyfriend,
Anderson East, as they posed on the red carpet at the CMA Awards.
Last week she posted a photo of her on her horse expressing her displeasure with those who post negative words on social media accounts.
