Michael Ray went gold…
Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Festival is a go…

 

Michael Ray went gold three times. He recently picked up gold records, for sales and downloads of over 500,000, for "Kiss You in the Morning," "Think a Little Less" and "Get to You."

Willie Nelson's Outlaw Music Festival is coming back for a fourth summer.
There are 10 shows booked from June 14th to July 3rd. The tour does make a stop in Columbus.
Acts appearing include The Avett Brothers, Alison Krauss, Counting Crows, Old Crow Medicine Show, Dawes, Steve Earle and The Dukes and many more.

Jason Aldean to get ACM Artist of the Decade Award…
Kelsea Ballerini invited to join the Grand Ole Opry… 

Jason Aldean will receive the ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award. 
Loretta Lynn, Alabama, Garth Brooks and George Strait have all received the honor in the past.
Jason says, "My heroes are on this list, something I can’t really even wrap my head around being part of. But man, I’m proud to be getting it -- it’s for everyone who stuck with us and supported us through the years.”
Jason will receive the award at the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7th in Las Vegas.

Four years ago, Kelsea Ballerini made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Earlier this week, she became its newest member.
Little Big Town invited Kelsea onstage to join them for a performance of "Girl Crush," and when it was all done, the group sang, "Kelsea Ballerini, wanna join the Opry?" Kelsea naturally said yes, as she wiped away tears.

Tim McGraw is an author…
Nashville the TV series could be going to Broadway… 

Tim McGraw is now an author. He’s penned a fitness and lifestyle book -- Grit and Grace: Train the Mind, Train the Body, Own Your Life. 
He tells People that his life got better when he got healthy. “My mind is clearer, my sense of purpose is sharper, and my relationships are deeper. Consistent physical exercise helps me bring focus to my life and to the people who mean the most to me.”
The book comes out on November 5th. 

The TV series Nashville is being developed into a Broadway musical. 
Tony Award-winning producer Scott Delman says, "Nashville, with its complex, relatable characters and sweeping emotional gestures, has all of the narrative elements that I look for in great theatrical source material."
Nashville aired for six seasons. I will keep you posted on it’s journey to the great white way!

Jordan Davis scores his second #1…
Clint and Trace to tour together… 

Jordan Davis earned his second number-one hit on the Mediabase chart with "Take It From Me" this week-- a song he wrote with his brother Jacob, who is also an artist.
Jordan said, "It was a goal of ours to have a song out, to have a single together and hopefully top the charts. It's been a really, really fun ride to watch this song kinda climb."

Clint Black and Trace Adkins will hit the road together for the Hits. Hats. History. tour.
The tour kicks off May 2nd in Charlotte, North Carolina. 
Clint is also touring this month to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Killin' Time. He will be at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park on March 16th!

Kelly Clarkson is backing to hosting…
Thomas Rhett talks about his new song… 

Kelly Clarkson will host the Billboard Music Awards for the second straight year.
The show will air on NBC on May 1st from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Kelly along with Kelsea Ballerini will make a stop at the Q in Cleveland on March 21st.

Thomas Rhett dropped his new single "Look What God Gave Her" and he sang it on SNL over the weekend. The song is about his wife Lauren.
He says, “My wife is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know…and she’s hilarious. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being He made, and singing it in a fun way.”
The song is from his album Center Point Road, which comes out on May 31st. He will be at The Country Fest on June 22nd.
