Miranda Lambert's husband Brendan McLouglin is taking a short break from his duties with the New York Police Department. 
According to People, he is on an "authorized leave of absence." Due to confidentiality, no other details are available, however, the police department says that an officer can take leave for a variety of reasons.
The couple was recently photographed enjoying some time in Lake Tahoe.
