CMT announced the Artists of the Year…

Runaway June’s “Buy My Own Drinks” is officially in the top five on the Mediabase Country Singles Chart, making them the highest charting female trio since the Dixie Chicks did it 16 years ago in 2003 with “Travelin’ Soldier.” This is also their first top five hit as songwriters.

Carrie Underwood, Dan and Shay, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett are CMT's Artists of the Year.
They'll be honored with special performances by their fellow country peers during a live broadcast from Nashville's Symphony Center October 16th.
