Merle Haggard is getting a biopic…

Cole Swindell sings about giving up Saturday nights as a bachelor in his new song “Single Saturday Night”, and he may be ready to do the same in real life.
He says, "I've had a lot of experience on single Saturday nights. They're not all bad, no. Do I really want them to end? I'm kinda on the fence on that one. Before corona, no, now the virus, I might need to settle down. I don't know."

A biopic about Merle Haggard is in the works. 
This movie is based on his memoir, Sing Me Back Home and will focus on his life as an prison inmate to his rise as a country music star.
Sam Rockwell, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is in the running to play Merle.
