Sarah Kay's Nashville News, Week of 6/27/16

Nashville News: Friday, 7/1 Kelsea Ballerini has already cut six songs for the follow-up to her debut album, The First Time. And seeing as she’s done a lot of living over the last few years,  songwriting has become a whole different experience. She is older now and it is more authentic. There’s no word yet on when Kelsea's new album will come out.   Chris Young announced via Facebook Live that he is working on a Christmas album. He broke the news direct from the studio with his producer and co-writer and two friends dressed as  Santa Claus and an elf. He said, “I am so excited. You guys know Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I have so many Christmas  songs I want to do, it was hard to narrow it down to this album.” Chris has not yet revealed a release date for his Christmas project, but he’s clearly in the holiday spirit.
