Get Fit 24

New 24 hour gym in the Fairlawn area and today be there from 11am-12:30pm for a Zac Brown Band Ticket Stop!

After seeing a show on all things Parma, the Warren and I headed up for a little impromptu trip to get some delicious treats from Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery and Chuppa’s Market.

The Warren likes to watch local shows about hidden gems in Ohio, then make a list and travel there. Most times, we get as far as the list, but this time he really wanted to try this strudel and I was on board because there was meat involved too!

The first stop was Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery on Ridge Rd. They have all the European baked goods along with pierogies. They have been open since 1948 and it shows! We bought so many things and they have strudel, paczki, danishes, cookies and more- and they ladies in the store were so beyond nice. We will be back.

Then we went to Chuppa’s Market Place on Pearl Rd. This place is amazing and a nice place to visit for a special treat.

Midland set to tour…

Randy Houser and his wife Tatiana welcomed their son Huckleberry Randolph Houser over the weekend. 
Randy says, “Huck is handsome, healthy and happy, and we couldn’t be more excited to get him home and start the next chapter of our lives together with him.”
Randy has another son, seven-year-old West, from his previous marriage. 

Midland are headed out on a headlining tour ahead of the release of their sophomore album, Let It Roll.  
The tour begins in New York City on September 17th and wraps on November 9th in Indiana. Tickets to on sale Friday.
Let it Roll comes out on August 23rd.

Perfect Iced Tea recipe on Iced Tea Day!

Friday was National Donut Day and we here at WQMX teamed up with Jubilee Donuts to celebrate by delivering donuts to deserving local area hospitals- the nurses, doctors and hospital staff got a nice treat on a Friday.

Naturally, I dressed up like a donut to deliver the goods. I had so much fun- so much fun delivering the donuts, meeting all the people and seeing what wonderful hospitals we have right here in our community.

We visited 5 hospitals: Akron Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Summa Health System- Akron Campus, Western Reserve Hospital and Summa Health System- Barberton Campus. Everyone was so nice and so generous with their time, and frankly super kind when a girl dressed like a donut showed up at the front door.

Thank you to all nurses, doctors and hospital staff- the work you do is incredible. And, hey you never know where I will show up next, dressed up as what, to show our appreciation!
