I feel like the Christmas season went very fast this year. As quickly as I put trees up and decorated, I wasn't as quick to put everything away. But now it's time, and it's also time to do something with the lights that no longer work. I discovered quite a few strands as I was starting to decorate, I set those aside at the time, but now I have to do something with them. I tried changing out fuses, but that never works for me, so I saved the bulbs that I know work and am taking what's left to be recycled. This weekend we made time for another favorite holiday tradition, building and decorating a gingerbread house. Instead of one house, I found a kit that had four houses, a whole village! Now we just need a Mayor.

Nate Smith recently covered "Chasing Cars" from Snow Patrol, and now he has a new cover that he has been performing at shows. Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box". He said in an Instagram post 3 days ago that his all time favorite band will always be Nirvana. Yesterday, he posted a video of him performing the song in Seattle, which as we all know, is where Nirvana originated. So cool!
