The Full Strawberry Moon!

Written by

It's June's full moon tonight, called the Strawberry Moon. With the summer solstice happening this week too, there's some interesting and special stuff going on up there.

This is the first full moon as such to arrive following the summer solstice since the year 1796, and it's also the lowest full moon of the year. If you'd like to know more about the significance of this full Strawberry Moon, I came across a nice webpage that helps break it down: Strawberry Moon: Full Moon in June 2024 | The Old Farmer's Almanac

I'm especially excited for this Friday night in the moonlight as there is also that Hank Williams Jr. concert going on at Blossom. I'll be there, at the WQMX table just inside the gates up until the music begins; stop by on your way into the show. We're expecting some clear and warm weather... it's on!

Wherever you are tonight, be sure to keep your eyes on the skies for the full Strawberry Moon.
