I couldn't wait for this song to come up. I am a big Suzy Bogguss fan, and I have stated before that she is one of the best pure singers I have ever heard in any kind of music over my 40 plus years behind the mic. Her voice is simply perfect, and her versatility is incredible. This song was a bit different for her then. Until this, Bogguss recorded seemingly much simpler songs that were more tame and showcased her God given singing voice. But what this song did was have a much fuller, more produced sound, and guess what? Her voice is still out front and center and clearly the star of the song. This does what any really good song does. It takes you someplace and creates a vivid vision in your mind. This is a happy, uptempo song that has a singular focus, and that is to make your mood brighter than it was 3 minutes ago. This was the third version of this song recorded since 1988, and the most successful. This was her highest charting song as it reached number 2 on the country charts. Great song, great performance, perfect artist for this really slick song. We were very lucky to have Suzy Bogguss - remarkably talented, and completely first class.
