The 6th annual WQMX 5Kay is already NEXT Saturday, October 5th! It is approaching quickly...like the leader coming up to the finish line. ;)

You still have time to sign up though! We will be at Rufener Hilltop Farms on Route 43 just South of Route 224 beginning at 9am. Come out and do the 5k run, or the 1 mile walk to help raise money to fight breast cancer. This money goes to provide free mammograms to people in our area who are not able to afford them on their own.

It's a new collaboration between Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood! Once it's out, hopefully we can get it to you for Keep It or Kick It as soon as possible! I know I'm looking forward to hearing what the track is like!

If only The Eurythmics could give me the answer! I am prone to having odd dreams, and I had two more just this morning.

In the first one: My dad was giving someone (who I did not know) lessons on how to properly do a pre-trip check on a school bus so that person could be hired as a bus driver. When they were about 1/3 of the way through the lesson, I decided I would sit in and get hired as a driver myself. 

In the second dream: I was going through the interview process to be hired as a deputy with the Sevier County, TN Sheriff's Department! What was stranger was I had to take public transportation to get there and back home - and I had my cat Buttercup with me on the bus - only he was a small dog! If that wasn't weird enough, I had a second dog (I think it was a pet from my childhood) that was a Pitbull. Then, the bus came and I yelled at the two of them that it was time to get on the bus because they were running around playing. That is when I woke up!

If anyone has any ideas as to what these mean...I am all ears! haha

What did you do over the weekend? 

On Saturday night, I went out for dinner with my Mom and other former co-workers from my years as an usher at Blossom Music Center. This time we went to Luigi's in Downtown Akron...yum!!!

Luigi's is one of my favorite places to go to over the weekends. When I heard the group was headed there this weekend, I said "put me on the guest list for sure!". Not only did we have the delicious food (the salads and my pizza), but it's always fun to catch up with some of the people I spent so many hours with at concerts over the ten years I worked at Blossom.

If you came out to the Dusty Armadillo last night for Kelsey Hart...thank you! We had such a good time listening to great music and raising money for charity!

He was so nice to meet, and I hope you enjoyed the show he put on with some of his awesome music! Plus, he played a few songs we all know from other artists as well!

Can't wait to hear more from Kelsey Hart!!

I mentioned this on air last night. Kelsea Ballerini is dipping her toes into the acting world. 

She is going to guest star on a new ABC medical drama called Dr. Odyssey which premieres next Thursday night (September 26th). The show stars Don Johnson known for Miami Vice, and Joshua Jackson known for Dawson's Creek. 

No word yet on which episode exactly she will appear in. I think it is pretty cool to see artists branch out and try their talents in other arenas.

As soon as I got up this morning, I had a chore to do - cut the grass! Looking back, I think it had been close to a full month since the last time I did it. But at the same time, the grass has been growing a little slower this year with the overall lack of rain.

Either way, my yard (especially the backyard) was starting to look like a jungle! I was honestly feeling self conscious about it. It was long when I got home from vacation on Labor Day and that was 3 weeks ago!

Luckily I got it all cut and the clippings out to the curb in time for garbage collection day today! Hopefully I will maybe have to cut one or two more times this year. Fingers crossed!

Zach Top has run into a lot of success with his hit "Sounds Like The Radio". Now, he is ready to hit the road on tour!

Coming up January through March, he will be out on his "Cold Beer & Country Music" tour. The 13 stop tour will not include a stop in Northeast Ohio, however there are a few stops nearby.

He will stop in: Columbus on January 30th

                         Detroit on January 31st

                         Cincinnati on February 1st

Coming up tonight at midnight...NEW MUSIC! Miranda Lambert will release her new album "Postcards From Texas" tonight. We can sort of consider this a sequel to 2022's "Palomino" is what is being said about the new album.

Anyway, it will drop at midnight tonight, so enjoy the weekend with new music from Miranda Lambert!
