Ashley McBryde has released a new single to radio today! “Light On In The Kitchen” conjures up images of those late nights spent at the kitchen table with a trusted confidant, the one person in the world with which you can unapologetically be yourself, all while they give you a little motherly advice. The new song was written by Ashley with Connie Harrington and Jessi Alexander, and it celebrates the warm glow shared across homes around the world, a symbol of affection signaling that someone may be missing tonight, but thoughts of them are present.

"When I tell someone there’s a ‘Light On In The Kitchen’ for them, to me it means you’re thinking of them, even if they’re not coming home that night,” shares Ashley in a press release. “While writing this, we were all able to look back and remember the women in our lives who comforted us, gave us advice and made sure we knew we had a place to go. Writing this song showed me how necessary that simple comfort had been."

Ashley will appear on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on March 1 to discuss “Light On In The Kitchen” and recent GRAMMY Award win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her No. 1 duet “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” with Carly Pearce. She will also be making a stop at Blossom Music Center on Saturday, 24th opening for Eric Church, click here for more details and to purchase tickets!

Some Great Gardening Tips!

I was scrolling Facebook and this post came up about repurposing rotisserie chicken containers into mini-greenhouses and I thought that was a great idea. Also, why haven't I thought of this before? It makes total sense. Usually when I start my seeds I use egg cartons, but with prices these days, those may be few and far between, HAHA.

The article shares a lot of great ideas to get that garden started this year and in an environmentally friendly way. Click here to read!

Next From Jordan Davis: Next Thing You Know

Jordan Davis is following up his latest #1 "What My World Spins Around" with his song "Next Thing You Know" from his upcoming album Bluebird Days due out on February 17th! Jordan recently performed his new single, which he co-wrote with Greylan James, Chase McGill and Josh Osborne, on the TODAY Show with Hoda and Jenna.

One of the interesting facts about the song is it doesn’t have a chorus. Jordan said in a press release “I think it’s really cool that all we do is repeat ‘Next Thing You Know’ throughout it, but when you’re trying to write songs for a, a job, not putting a chorus on it is a fast way to get it thrown into the garbage can, and I think that makes me more proud of this song in that this is what we wanted to do with it and we just wanted to be as honest as possible in how fast life goes. I remember leaving, telling somebody like when they were like, ‘Did you write today?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ They said, ‘Did you get anything good?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, we wrote a song that doesn’t even have a chorus.’ And I got the look of like, ‘Well, we’ll probably never hear that one,’ and little did I know it would connect with a whole lotta people.”
