When Morgan Wallen first came out, I loved Up Down and some of his early releases.  I loved his newer mullet image and it was soon clear that he was insanely popular.  He's a musical hero to a new fan base.  There has been some Wallen songs that have been extremely popular since and he was broken attendance and chart records all the while. Full disclosure, some of his songs have missed with me, not because they aren't good, I'm just not sure what format they are at times.  But that's a newer phenomenon in music in general, fans are more wide open to all genres than ever before because of their own playlists and shuffles.  But this new Wallen song to me is simply terrific. It has that Johnny Cash steady beat to open and the Waylon steel work, drive, subject matter and overall feel both of which are total throwbacks, but it sounds like today all at the same time. It zips along well and is just fun to listen to. One of the real points of beauty of this song, is when you first hear it come on, it's captivating and you have to listen. So grab a coffee and earbuds and check it out!
