Too Much Fun - Daryle Singletary - 1995 - (Album - Self Titled)
His run on the country charts was far too short, as he broke in when country was enjoying a huge wave of popularity. There was a lot of buzz around him and for a couple years he cranked some nice songs including, I Let Her Lie, (I loved), and this top five hit. This should have been a #1. (Read the comments of the video) . This song in many ways reminds me of Ken Mellons, Jukebox Junkie, and Wade Hayes, Old Enough To Know Better in this aspect. They all hit about the same time, and fans totally loved these songs. All of them wildly popular at that moment on the radio and in the dance clubs. Then they just faded away from the charts. This song was a very popular song with fans, and still sounds good all these years later. But, sadly not all get a 10 year run on the charts. DS would release more songs and albums, but could never re-capture the success of this very fun song.
Daryle Singletary passed away in February of 2018 - he was 46.
