Buried Treasure - Kenny Rogers - 1984 - (Album -Eyes That See In The Dark)
Yesterday I featured Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in my year long countdown series, with Islands In The Stream. It got me thinking about that era and album. That album I feel was Rogers best studio album, and this was the B-side to This Woman the follow up the big duet. This is with the Gatlin Brothers on simply sensational background vocals, and this great song went to #2 on the charts. Written again by the Bee Gees. (They could not do much wrong in that era) Full disclosure, I was not a gigantic Rogers fan, but there was a time he was the undisputed king of pop country. I love this song from him. The Gatlin's, who were huge stars on their own in this era are terrific on this song as well. This is my favorite Rogers song.
