Congrats to Dustin Lynch!

Congratulations to Dustin Lynch, he just earned another number-one hit with "Stars Like Confetti." Dustin says the song was written especially for him by Thomas Rhett, Zach Crowell and Josh Thompson.

"I was blessed with it. I can remember where in the lake I was on my boat. I had a few friends on the boat. We were out cruising around summer of 2021, believe it or not. Thomas Rhett was off the road. We were all off the road. Couldn't tour. And he went in to write. They had me in mind and recorded the song they wrote and sent it to me."

Dustin will be making a stop in Youngstown at the Covelli Center on April 13th, click here to purchase tickets!

Soup Season: Cream of Potato

Although the weather wasn't terribly cold, we raked a lot of leaves and needed something filling for lunch. I had some potatoes on hand and had some leftover bacon from breakfast, so why not Cream of Potato soup?

There are two ways I make this, either starting with a butter and flour roux, or heavy whipping cream. I went with the former, addin half and half to make it thicker, then a little milk to thin that out. It's really a matter of patience and adding a little bit of liquids at a time to get just the right thickness. I also add a dollop of sour cream, gives it a little tanginess and also helps thicken if you've thinned it out too much. The potatoes, you can boil them ahead of time, or if you have time, just throw them right into your cream and let them simmer. That's what I usually do as long as I plan ahead of time, because it does take some time to cook them! Salt and pepper are a must and I usually add some rosemary, but n herbs de province would work as well, but here is what really brings out the flavor: nutmeg. There is something about that nutty nutmeg that tastes so good in a creamy soup!

Top with cheddar cheese and bacon, or one or the other, or neither! Just enjoy!

Next From Kenny Chesney: Take Her Home

Kenny Chesney released his next radio single today! It's called “Take Her Home,” a loping rumination on the butterflies that flutter when you see “the one” through all the phases of falling in love, getting serious and building a life that makes you so much more. It is the essence of everything that is so easy to miss, but creates the biggest blessings and greatest happiness people can experience.

“When I heard ‘Take Her Home,’ I just laughed,” Chesney says of the song in a press release. “It was everything life is made of in less than four minutes. It’s true, honest and all the stuff that’s easy to forget. All those details and little moments? The deep cut Cheap Trick, the black-and-pink suitcase in the back of the truck, a 7 pound, 5 ounce baby? That’s what makes these kinds of life changes what they are. And it’s funny: no matter what stage you’re in, you really are always scared. That’s how you know it’s gonna be worth it.”

Lainey Wilson had an incredible night at the CMAs picking up five wins out of her nine nominations including Female VocalistNew Album of the Year, and the coveted Entertainer of the Year award!

She also performed "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from her album Bell Bottom Country, it's also her next radio single!

We can't wait to watch her headline The Country Fest on Thursday, June 13th! Click here to get your tickets!
