It's fishin' season! I haven't been out to the lake so far this year nearly as much as I would like to, but there's still plenty of time.
I've been fishing for as long as I can remember. I've fished everywhere from Canada to Florida, and for all sorts of different species. There's always a pole in my car.
I never quite figured it out, but I have tried fly fishing. It's not for me.
Whether it's a lake, pond, or river; I'll cast a line. I will stick to freshwater, though. There're so many other things to do when I take a vacation to the ocean that I'd rather leave my tackle box behind, anyways.
So, from the boat or the dock, it's my top ten favorite fish to catch!
10. Channel Catfish
9. Blue Gill
8. Sunfish
7. Walleye
6. Crappie
5. White Bass
4. Northern Pike
3. Yellow Perch
2. Smallmouth Bass
1. Largemouth Bass
My favorite way to fish is with a nightcrawler on a hook and a bobber. I'll set one of those up and then do some casting with a second pole and a lure.
It's called fishing and not catching, though, and for me that stands true. It's always better when I reel in some hogs, but it's really just about being out there.
There's this week's top ten list. If you ever want to talk fishing, I'm here for it! Thanks for reading and be sure to enjoy summertime.
