There's hardly a phrase that rubs me worse. If you don't know what I'm talking about, search up any song older than a few years on YouTube. 

 That's what I was doing, revisiting some of my favorite nostalgic music videos, when I kept seeing the same question appear as the top comment. 

"Anyone here in 2024?" 

Let's break this down a little bit. First and foremost, the answer is always yes. It's rhetorical and pointless to ask. 

That aside, is it supposed to be some sort of flex? Are we trying to brag or appear cool or something? I'm at a total loss as to why this is a thing, but I know I don't like it. It'd be fine if I came across it occasionally, but it was really almost every video. 

Now, I'm not going to lose sleep over the phenomenon, but it bothered me just enough to write this blog about it. Maybe it's just me....
