On Saturday, I went with my fiancée and others to our first NHL game, and it was a blast!

It was the Penguins versus the Canadiens at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburg for an evening on the ice, and I enjoyed just about every minute of it. The game itself had a mild start with the players keeping mellow through the first two periods, but it was as if they all woke up in the third. Still, the pace and presentation of the exhibition kept it fun and interesting throughout. There was even a fight at the end!

The stadium erupted with each home team goal, and we ended up with a nice victory over the challengers from up north.

Long story short: I discovered I dig hockey.
