Gary Allen is a star that has a fierce following, and one of the most distinct voices in country music. His image has morphed many times during his career and his fans have adjusted with him. This song, from the remarkable album set him on a really great path. The "Smoke Rings In The Dark" album sold a million and had a ton of really great songs on it, and this was the biggest hit from it peaking at #5. That album is simply sensational - I love this song, and this album for every reason. Allen is a great example of an artist that fans love so much, they kept him in the game more than the charts did.
