WYNN - Forgotten Jukebox HM-85

Written by

Highwayman -  Willie Nelson / Kris Kristofferson / Waylon Jennings / Johnny Cash - 1985  (Album - The Highwayman)

With the death of Kris Kristofferson, thought it proper to feature this song today.  This was written by one of the best songwriters of all time, Jimmy Webb.  The four stars formed this group called the Highwayman in 1985.  The idea of four major stars coming together was revolutionary, and this idea pre-dates The Traveling Wildbury's  that in the rock world would come 2 years later to incredible success.  This song was a #1 and was a real favorite at the time.  This album and single sold a million and the single won a Grammy.   This was recorded first by the songwriter, and later by Glen Campbell.  But let's face it, this song was made for these guys.  The four loved this song so much, they named themselves and the album after it.  They recorded a few albums as such.  This was a big event at the time, and still sounds great all these years later.

RIP Kris
