Happy Back To The Future Day!

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Back To The Future is my favorite movie trilogy of all time. For me, it's the concept of time travel, the space/time continuum, and how cool 1955 was. Sounds like the original is my favorite out of all three? It is, but I have all three movies and will watch them back to back at any given time. I will obviously watching them later on today to celebrate Back To The Future Day!

Why this date for Back To The Future Day? Because it was October 21, 2015 that Doc, Marty McFly, and Jennifer Parker traveled to the future in a DeLorean time machine at the begining of Back To The Future II (I won't expand on why, in case of a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen the movies!). Of course it was a big celebration back in 2015, but celebrated every year leading up to and after that year by fans of the movie.

In researching why screenwriter, Bob Gale, chose October 21, 2015 as the date to time travel in the second installment of the series, he chose it as the date the Chicago Cubs would theoretically win the World Series. As it turns out, he was only one year off, the Cubs would win in 2016. Great Scott!

Also, announced today, Back To The Future: The Musical

Mitchell Tenpenny just earned two #1 singles with his song "Truth About You" and his song with Chris Young "At The End of A Bar", plus he just released his new album 'This Is The Heavy' a little over a month ago. Today, he released his next single to radio, it's called "We Got History".

Mitchell says the song is about that person that you're not hung up on, but you don't have bad feelings for them either and you think about them from time to time. You've moved on, in a new relationship, but from time to time they still come back in a memory. There is no future but there is history, and there will be those flashbacks.

Tenille Arts released her new single "Jealous Of Myself", a song that tells of the sorrow of no longer being with the person that you loved and just missing them. Tenille sings about no longer being with that person and being jealous of the newly found love, she can't help it, and she sings it with such passionate vocals that you can't help but feel it too.

Enjoy Fall!

The last couple of days driving to and from the radio station, it was hard to not notice how stunning and beautiful the fall colors are right now! This morning I saw a goup of three trees, one yellow, one orange, one red, and it was really picture perfect. Of course I didn't take a picture because I was driving, maybe I'll go back later. The sun has been catching the trees just right, and a gentle wind blowing leaves across the street, it was just a moment that made me think about how lucky we are to take this in every fall in Northeast Ohio!

It's going to be a nice weekend, get out there and enjoy fall! Take a hike, go to a pumpkin patch, take a drive, sit outside with some apple cider! Whatever you decide to do, just soak it all in!!

New Music From Luke Combs: Going, Going, Gone

Luke Combs just scored is 14th consecutive #1 single with "The Kind Of Love We Make" and the other day he announced what is next single would be!

"Going, Going, Gone" was co-written by Luke, Ray Fulcher, and James McNair, and is his third single from his album Growin' Up. The ballad is a different take on a heart-break song, it's about to happen, the girl he is singing about is going to disappear and there is no way to stop her. The relationship just isn't meant to be and he knows it.

Justin Moore has released the follow up to his 11th #1 single "With A Woman You Love" and this one is a duet with Priscilla Block! Justin says "You, Me, And Whiskey" is a really cool song and a unique way to tell a story that’s been told before. It’s kind of in the same mold as some of the love songs he's done in the past where it’s not sappy, but it is a little romantic, but it’s still got a bit of a tougher side to it.

About working with Priscilla Block on this song, Justin said, "Priscilla was the first one I thought about because we had just played a show together, and I thought man, she would knock this out of the park, and she did. She did, I knew she would do fantastic, but she exceeded even my expectations, so, I’m really excited about it."

Priscilla added, "I could not be more excited for this song, it’s super, super special to me. I’ve been a fan of Justin forever, and the fact he asked me to be a part of it is just mind-blowing, I’m still freaking out. I cannot wait for everyone to fall in love with it just like I did the first time I heard it."

Restless Road has released their follow up to "Growing Old With You". This new song is called "Sundown Somewhere" and it's about the hope of meeting that future someone you’re meant to be with. It was co-written by Cole Swindell, Ben Hayslip, Jacob Rice, and Cole Taylor. The music video was filmed while they were on tour in Australia and New Zealand.

Restless Road will be at the Dusty Armadillo on Friday November 18th, click here for more info and to purchase tickets!

Country newcomer Mackenzie Carpenter has released her debut single to country radio, "Huntin' Season". It's a fun song that gives a new perspective on hunting season, and her love for it for completely different reasons than you'd think. She's also been waiting for hunting season, so she can spend that free time doing things like shopping online, drinking wine, binge watching TV, and have alllll the fun!

You may have heard one of Mackenzie's songs before, she was a co-writer with Lily Rose on "Villian".
