My Favorite Fish Fry!

Written by
Everyone is talking Fish Fry this time of year. I am here to tell you about my favorite! Prosperity Social Club in Tremont- worth the wait, worth the drive if the case. You can make reservations, which I recommend just as much as I recommend the fish fry. They call it the Lenten “Gotta Haddock” Fish Fry. Love that! You get huge portions, you get pierogies, mac and cheese and cole slaw. I was in…

Italy in Canton at Gervasi!

Written by
I had the privlege of staying at the Villas at Gervasi Vineyards over the weekend for my birthday celebrations. To say this place is a first class operation is not saying enough. We- the Warren, my sister and brother-in-law, stayed in the Sorrento Villa and it was incredible. The place is beautiful, the rooms, the common areas amazing. If you have been to the Bistro, the Crush House, the Still House you know that Gervasi…
Justin Moore brought his Late Nights and Locknecks tour to the Wolstein Center in Cleveland on Saturday night with Tracy Lawrence, Lainey Wilson and newcomer Heath Sanders. It was a fabulous night full of great country music. The newcomers Lainey and Heath did a great job opening the show and they promised a night that would be “historic.” They did not lie. Tracy Lawrence is just as smooth as he was when he first started.…

Thanks For The Birthday Cake, Acme!

Acme Fresh Market's bakery is amazing. This is no secret. Their cakes are homemade and then topped with that delicious butter cream icing. Today is my birthday and they made me a birthday cake for the ages! Pink icing and pink marble! It was so good. So. GOOD! Cake is my favorite. I could eat it all day and that is the plan. For birthdays, weddings, graduations, all occasions- Acme cakes are the way to…

Non-Peep Show!

Written by
I say it a lot. This is a non peep show. I am not a fan of Peeps. Those marshmallow treats covered in fiberglass candy spray. Nope. Not today or ever. They belong in the trash. I don't like the chicks, the bunnies. I don't like them stale or fresh. I like them in the trash. Ew. And, they are everywhere! Not just at Easter time. Christmas time, Halloween. All. The. Time. All the flavors.…

The Captain's Chair

Written by
The Warren and I usually don't do gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc. This year before Valentine's Day we got my parents gently used couch. It is wonderful, but we had all this extra space in our family room. One day, the Warren looked at me and jokingly said- “I'd like to have a present this year for Valentine's Day. A puppy or a recliner. The choice is yours.” He thinks he is…
